Yanmar Construction Equipment has once again elevated industry standards with the introduction of the ViO38-7 and ViO33-7 zero-tail swing excavators. These advanced machines replace their predecessors, the ViO38-6 and ViO33-6, with impressive upgrades in performance, efficiency, and operator comfort—all while maintaining the sleek “Premium Red” design that defines Yanmar’s equipment.
The ViO38-7, with its operating weight of 3,585 kg, provides a formidable bucket digging force of 32.8 kN at 2,200 rpm. The lighter ViO33-7, at 3,265 kg, delivers an equally impressive 30.69 kN of digging force. Thanks to hydraulic system improvements and a robust 18.5 kW Yanmar engine, both models achieve a 7% boost in excavation efficiency compared to earlier versions.
Enhanced mobility is another standout feature. The redesigned boom swing angle reduces the turning radius by 115 mm, increasing the machines’ working range. Meanwhile, modifications to the bucket shape and lower body position improve clearing efficiency. With widths of 1,550 mm for the ViO33-7 and 1,740 mm for the ViO38-7, these machines are adept at navigating tight, congested spaces.

For operators frequently transporting equipment, Yanmar has ensured practicality. The ViO33-7 boasts transport weights of 3,210 kg (cabin) and 3,090 kg (canopy), while the ViO38-7 offers weights of 3,530 kg (cabin) and 3,405 kg (canopy). Both models incorporate improvements to the travel motor and hydraulic pump, enabling faster travel speeds—up to 4.8 km/h—and reducing time spent on slopes by 25%.
Yanmar has prioritized user comfort with a redesigned cabin that offers more space, improved air conditioning, a 4.3-inch color display, and enhanced storage options. These upgrades reflect the company’s commitment to integrating customer feedback and ensuring superior operator experiences.
Whether you’re tackling urban landscapes or large-scale construction projects, the ViO38-7 and ViO33-7 promise unparalleled performance and convenience.
