Vermeer has released an upgraded version of its RTX1250 ride-on tractor, featuring several enhancements aimed at boosting efficiency and performance. The updates include modifications to the tracks, axles, plow valve, retention pins, cab roof, headliner, and the auto stabilizer function for the rockwheel attachment. This versatile machine is powered by a 127-hp (94.7-kW) Deutz TCD3.6L diesel engine and is designed to handle a variety of attachments, making it ideal for the installation of gas, fiber, water, and electrical utilities.
Nick Olsen, Vermeer’s product manager, highlighted that the updates were informed by customer feedback and rigorous testing, ensuring that the RTX1250 meets the needs of demanding work environments. Vermeer’s dedication to ongoing improvement and customer satisfaction is evident in the latest version of this machine.
The RTX1250 is a multi-functional piece of equipment, capable of operating as a trencher, rockwheel, or vibratory plow, with attachments that can be switched in as little as an hour. Options for the front include a backhoe, backfill blade, or reel carrier, while the back can accommodate a vibratory plow, rockwheel, sliding offset rockwheel, sliding offset trencher, or standard trencher.
This model is equipped with advanced Vermeer technology, such as the TrenchSense electronic control system and the EcoIdle engine control system. These systems are designed to enhance trenching operations by preventing engine stalls, optimizing fuel efficiency, and ensuring smooth operation. The RTX1250 also includes Productivity Zone and Auto Plunge features, which help determine the optimal operating parameters and control the attachment’s plunge rate, respectively.
Operator comfort and visibility are prioritized in the RTX1250’s design. The machine features conveniently located controls on the right-hand side, aligned with the seat’s pivoting action. It provides a quiet ride with an isolated, cushioned operator’s platform, and an optional climate-controlled cab is available for all-weather operation. Depending on the job requirements, the tractor can be equipped with either rubber tires or tracks.
Additionally, the RTX1250 is Vermeer Fleet-ready, which allows owners to monitor and optimize machine operations through Vermeer Telematics. This feature provides insights into engine operating hours, idle time, fuel consumption, fault codes, and machine location, and includes geofencing capabilities.
