The story of DXT, a prominent construction and civil engineering company in the Nordic region, is intertwined with the legacy of Cat machinery. Co-owner Peter Hedendahl’s connection to Cat dozers dates back to his childhood, growing up in his father’s construction business.
Peter’s earliest memories include riding in a Cat D7 dozer with his father, igniting his love for these powerful machines. At 16, Peter began working in the family business and eventually took the reins in the 1970s. At that time, the company was modest, operating with just a Cat D8 dozer and a 953 Track Loader. Peter could only dream of owning a D10 dozer.
In 2016, that dream became a reality when Peter learned of a D10T dozer for sale from a mining company in Northern Sweden. Together with his business partners, he placed a bid and won the machine. This pivotal moment inspired them to name their company DXT, in honor of the D10T dozer that marked their breakthrough.
Today, DXT operates a diverse fleet of Caterpillar equipment, including three D10s. In 2023, Peter flew to Peoria, Illinois, to see the latest addition to their fleet—the first Next Gen Cat D10 to be sold in Europe—being assembled. The advanced features and efficiency of this machine affirm Peter’s commitment to Caterpillar and his appreciation for the support from his dealer, Zeppelin.
