CASE Construction Equipment has introduced the D-Series motor graders, including the 836D and 856D, which build upon the success of their previous C-Series models. These new graders are designed to enhance operator comfort and productivity, featuring a modernized cabin, intuitive controls, and powerful Dual Power engines.
The D-Series graders come with a low-profile ROPS/FOPS cab that offers excellent visibility and is easier to transport due to the reduced height. The cabin includes full-width tinted glazing, a touchscreen display for machine and maintenance information, and a rear-view camera for enhanced safety. The cabin layout is designed with user comfort in mind, featuring a customizable screen, electronic hand throttle, and ample storage compartments. Operators can choose between electro-hydraulic joystick controls or mechanical levers, both providing precise control over the machine’s functions. The cabin also includes a heated, air-suspended seat and three-axis joysticks with multiple control options for maximum comfort and precision. The cabin also includes a heated, air-suspended seat and three-axis joysticks, which provide comprehensive control options for maximum comfort and operational efficiency.

The D-Series is powered by a Stage V compliant six-cylinder FPT diesel engine, known for its robust performance and efficiency. The dual power curve of the engine allows it to deliver peak power as transmission ratios increase, thus enhancing overall productivity. These engines are compatible with HVO and other synthetic fuels, and they feature a maintenance-free Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) and Selective Catalytic Reduction on Filter (SCRoF) system. The Ergopower transmission ensures seamless gear shifts, while the all-wheel-drive models offer a creep mode, ideal for precision work in various terrains. Optional 24” tires are available to better handle challenging ground conditions.
The graders come with customizable moldboard options, including various widths, extensions, and features like an overload clutch and a five-tooth ripper. The moldboard design incorporates a roller-mounted encapsulated slewing ring, which reduces wear and provides high mechanical torque for precise control. This design also features fewer greasing points, reducing the overall maintenance required and thus enhancing uptime and profitability.

In terms of support and after-sales service, CASE offers comprehensive solutions for the D-Series, including the CASE SiteWatch subscription—a fleet management tool with features like tracking and geofencing. The CASE SiteConnect system further enhances telematics, providing dealers with real-time alerts regarding machine performance, thus enabling proactive maintenance and repair. Additional services include CASE Care, a planned maintenance program using genuine parts and lubricants, CASE Protect extended warranty, and CASE Fluid Analysis, which help optimize machine performance and prevent unexpected downtime and costs.
